That is irrelevent mate, the fact is Adam Pearson is a business man and wanted all 3 in there meaning more profit for the SMC through bars and events.
Why would he choose to offer a very poorly supported club at the time the stadium but not Hull who have always had a pretty good fan base and were far better on the field at the time.
Just because most HKR fans live in a world that started in Super League the fact is when the stadium was built HKR were tosh and the suggestion Adam Pearson would offer them exclusive use over Hull is laughable.

This is one of those rare moments when I find myself in total agreement with you. In 2002 we were garbage and I had to shout in the East Stand just to talk to the nearest other speccie. Jeez, we even got outnumbered by Hudds in the Buddies Final.
We would have looked as daft as Donny moving to the KC back then, and thats before you start mentioning its westerly location.

That is all I was saying but for some reason it makes you a Hull fan to suggest that Rovers have ever been second best in the City and that nobody really give a stuff 5 years ago other than 1500 die hards.
Why would Pearson take that ram shackle into a stadum project that needed quick returns to get off the ground.

TBF, he took City there and they fitted that description perfectly in 2001/02!
I think the build went ahead after confirmation that hull fc and city would be playing there. It wasn't crucial that fc accepted, but it certainly helped by offering another income besides city.
Rovers were offered the chance to relocate to the kc but our crowds at the time meant it didn't really matter to them whether we did or not. As far as I'm aware, the offer is actually still open.

Success consists of getting up just one more time than you've fallen down.
