Let me quote Tony Smith
"The fans were fantastic. The players mentioned in dressing room at half time about how much we could hear and see them getting behind us. The number of them was incredible. No disrespect to the Huddersfield fans, but we outnumbered them totally, and I thought our supporters really played a big part in lifting our team. They just dominated the cheering and the atmosphere. It was just like a home game for us, except it was even more special. But they did lift us; the way they cheered us when we were under pressure really helped us through. They played their part in helping us get the win"
Read into that what you want. IMO I would have thought that fans getting on your back could affect your game in a big way but not the other way round.

Unfortunately you moved away from that into criticising the fans.
The phrase sing when you are winning comes to mind.
If we had got two flukey tries and seen the other teams attempts turned down by the officials we would have been singing and Wire would have been quiet.
Then everyone would have talked about how our fans picked us up and we would all have been on the Wire board slagging their 'Quiet fans'

You are also right. There is no answer to this debate, it`s just going round in circles. If you get to the latter stages of the play offs then the cost of getting there and getting in isn`t gonna be as expensive and I`m sure you have hooked some fans who previously might have not been interested.
Fans are Fans weather you are wining or loosing,Dissgrace is a bit OTT but it does make you wonder weather the people of Huddersfeild really do want a superleague team, our team are playing at Wembley in a major final and our fans carnt be bothered to turn up ,i felt embarresed to be honest Warrington are lying in 9th and there fans cheerd there team from start to finish.
I think people who waste their time posting on other peoples forums when they have enjoyed a great victory are not only stupid, ignorant and arrogant but also slow witted.
I think they would be much better looking at their own very small willies and learning to like them because, win or not, their willies are still very small.
If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.

Don't forget, though, that Wire fans have also booed their team off the field on more than one occasion, staged sit-ins to pressure their coach into leaving and given abuse to Matt King individually. So while they cheered on the team on Saturday, they aren't angels, you know.
