You on about Bentham then the VR from? where is he from again? Oh yes Warrington!!!!! How the hell can the RFL have any official from the same town as one of the teams involved?
Even with a 50/50 people are gonna suspect foul play, Lunt's 1st try was never a double movement!!
ATEOTD we got to another final and froze again, but NB has not done bad in his 1st season with a C/C final appearance and top 4 finish at least.
Lets see if the RFL have owt to say on the appointment of the officials? doubt it.
Warrington were up for it and on the day, the best team won but if the knock on try had been chalked off and Lunt's legitimate try given it may have calmed our nerves and been a different ball game?
Who knows but well done RFL on another almighty cock up!!!
If i was to marry, i dont know if i ought to, if i would, if i should , i'd marry a Prop's daughter, she'd go down, i'd go down, we'd all go down together, we'd be alright in the middle of the night going down together!!
Big knock on by Warrington before the first try and that changed the whole game.
Great first 20 from Warrington after that they were poor and there for the taking. Unfortunately everything Hudds tried didn't come off and Robbo had a stinker.

got to agree with you austin, the rfl set themselves up every time, regardless of wether the VR got it right or wrong is irrelevant(not having seen replay yet so dont know) they shouldnt put them in that position.

Didn`t Ganson referee the Saints Cup Final last year or am I mistaken?
Ganson has also reffed Saints vs Leeds as well.

Yep, he did. But not the Grand Final. That was Klein.

He certainly has. Last season he showed a red to a Leeds player too when he spear tackled Cunningham, so that was nice and controversial, as you can imagine! But Bentham reffed us the last time, which was probably good because it got feisty, very feisty, and he dealt with it very well it has to be said.
All very good points well made but could you see that garbage game with the round ball putting themselves in that position?
Man Utd vs Chelsea FA Cup final and the football league decide a ref from Manchester or Chelsea will take charge? I think not.
IMHO some of the calls were way off the mark, suppose if I was a Wire fan I would have a differen't opinion but the VR was not from Huddersfield.
I know people who have now been put off watching a RL match ever again, strong feelings I know but I sometimes know how they feel.
I for one will be getting a season ticket again next year as I have watched thru the bad times, but I can understand people not wanting to waste money when the RFL seem to shoot themselves in the foot at every opportunity!!!
It's not sour grapes, as I have said before the best team on the day won and we did not turn up, but with differen't calls the game could have turned out differen't.
Alibert as video ref and we could have said human error but with Bentham from Warrington, well I will not go as far as to say cheat but the RFL have left themselves wide open again.
We just have to now put it behind us and work towards the play offs and then build again for next season and the fans that do decide to re-new or buy season tickets have to bite their tongues again and get behind the boys as much as we can.

Thought the biggest influence was keeping Robinson quiet.
Met some great Giants fans, they were a credit to the game, forget about all the number rubbish. The one sthat went were great and all the best for the play-offs, don't think we will be there.
not an excuse for the defeat --you beat us on the day --but if you believe that of a man who gives a knock on when it goes behind a man when hes stood on the pitch -- where do I buy a pair??
You wont change my opinion of Cummins and Co!!
Overall -week in week out -- very very poor and an insult to the game !

The truth is, if some dubious decisions had of gone against Wire and we ended up winning how many of us would be slating the ref or video ref? Let's just have it right, we lost to a better team on the day and as a club we will be stronger for the experience.

Funny how not one post mentions Kings disallowed try when he took the ball before Cudjoe had control of it, hence it could not be a ball steal. And since when can it be a knock-on when the ball comes off the feet rather than the hands (Vinnie Anderson after his charge down).
Huddersfield had some unfortunate decisions go against them, but then so did Wire.
Good luck in the playoffs, and (assuming we don't perform some kind of miracle and get there) I hope you repeat your semi-final success and make it to Old Trafford. If you do, maybe you will go one better!
