Barrow RL, CAN GO IT ALONE.
Everything both on & off the pitch is on the up and has increased every year in the last four years and is expected to increase again next season.
Look at the Barrow born players currently playing SL
1,Gardner
2,Gardner
3,Lupton
4,Harrison
5,Wilkes
Several Barrow born u18/u16 players are earning rave reviews in various SL academy sides.
Add to the mix ((if)) Barrow RL were in the SL then several of the Cumbrian West coast lads would probably rather play for Barrow SL Club than the others, not all and maybe not the most but some.
If Barrow were really competing in the SL then probably most would want to stay local-ish.

Not unique for any rugby league area - Yes they looked like they are born in Barrow as Rob Burrow and Joe Westerman were born and bred in Feth - with the excpetion of Ade Gardner you did nothing to develop them of provide them with an opportunity! yep nothing - Barra's claim to fame: as with Stan Laural and Emliy Hughes they were born there (or there abouts)
Think about what a Successful Organisation requires or just a successful team on the park at the moment while supported by a wealthy benefactor?
I would say 100k invested in youth alone and that’s above all your other outlays

BARROW RUGBY LEAGUE for SUPERLEAGUE.
There's not enough decent night clubs in Barra / Cumbria for s/l.
The bright lights of Leeds, Liverpool & Manchester win every time for these young lads.

If you look at the squad we have at the moment, including injured players. Our team is strong enough for Super League, now. We are currently top of the league, and are placed as the best side outside the top flight. Ok our squad is garaunteed to be cut down next season, but all the teams will be forced to make reductions. The amount of quality local talent in our first team and within the reserve teams and younger is fantastic, there is no reason why we cant continue to produce the liam harrisons and liam finches of the area. With the right support and sustained funding, there is no reason that Barrow cant be a super league side withing the coming years.

Get your facts right before you start spouting off.
Ade Gardner, Matt Gardner and Ollie Wilkes all played for Barrow RL academy.
Entry into SL by default gives you the opportunity to invest in a youth set-up. Setting up a SL style youth set-up at Championship level would be financial suicide and a waste of money because all the youth players would be snapped up by SL clubs.

They were indeed. The club 'stopped it' to put more money into the first team.
It has worked.
even if it had still been going, those players mentioned would still have gone to the clubs they are at now. They can offer a SL set-up and more money. This was my point earlier.
