If we win our opening match and stains lose but get through to the semis.

Would we pick saints? IMO i think we should cos we would be able to get home advantage and if your going to win it you have to beat the best team at some point!

What do you reckon?

I reckon Leeds have already lost a (targeted) cup game at Headingley against St Helens this season and picking them would not be my option, besides which Leeds have their number at Old Trafford anyway.

Just as an observation I haven't seen made on here yet (sorry if I've missed it):

This season one and two have to earn the right to make the Grand Final rather than one of them being guaranteed as has been the system for the last eleven years. It opens the possibility that neither could make the showdown.

As Leeds and St Helens have yet again been the class of the field would that eventual outcome devalue the Champions?

One of the best i think in terms of quantity of games won.

A fairly irrelevant term even if correct.

Wigan Played 26, Won 16, Drawn 0, Lost 10.

1 Championship from 4 Grand Final appearances.

It's not irrelevant when discussing whether we are likely to meet them in the playoffs or not.

The best chance of getting to OT for the GF revenue will be Hetheringtons choice (and rightly so IMO)

I said fairly irrelevant.

Leeds have met Wigan at some stage of the play offs in six of the eleven years.

Disagree, I expect BM to be in charge of football matters and he should therefore be decidimng what route he want to take. GH can have an input, possibly a big input, into matters but it is BM's job to deliver trophies and he should therefore make the final decision on what route he should take.

You could do the same with me.

But I don't mind the holding hands bit, but sharing a pie????!!!! WTF!!!

Get yer own!!!

No one shares a pie I've bought. But I would always share a pie that isn't mine. When I say 'share', I mean 'take off someone and eat myself'.

Consider.
