What they should do is expand it in the future.

Maybe clubs from Superleague and National Leagues have in house trials in training etc to put forward the two fastest contenders.

Then at the Carnegie 9's you could have a few heats where say the first 2/3 go through to the final.That way you get a much more accurate assessment of who truely is the 'fastest man'

To be honest I was really dissapointed to see the line-up for the race yesterday.

Out of the 12 initial 'runners' only 5 took part!
