I thought it might be nice to write a message of support to tell the players what getting to the grand final means to you.
So for me, I have watched Fax for about 10 years, I still remember my first game that made me start going every week. It was a game my brother couldn't go to so i borrowed his season ticket. I remember the buzz i got from standing in the skircoat stand in the middle of things, the fact that for those 80 minutes nothing else mattered, and i loved it. I have been a season ticket holder ever since.
Unfortunately for me there have been more lows than highs in my supportive career, but there have still been highs and i still rmeember my favourite games (like drawing 20-20 with bradford).
For me however until this recent dip, this has been my favourite season of watching Fax ever, and i think my second favourite would be last year. To the players it is down to u, MC and MH that I have enjoyed it so much, i wouldn't have done without feeling Fax were moving forward on and off the pitch. I love seeing us play with passion, pride in the shirt and confidence. We have also played some fantastic rugby, to me its been better than super league. Its great to see the high the players and fans have been on after games and after the Castleford game I felt so proud.
I know you have come under some crticism recently but I think a change in form has come as a shock to us fans as although Callands country mile comment has been crticised, at one point it did seem that it might be the case.
I have never seen Halifax in a major final and I would LOVE to see us in the grand final this year, as much as I'm sure you would love to play in one. So all is not lost, lets take the last few weeks and lets use it to make us stronger, and a more determined team to get to that grand final in a weeks time. If we do get there, we will appreciate it so much more after a dip in form

Nicely said, faxfan, you could say I am now only a "home fan", never missing a game at home but out of the habit of going away for several
years (the Cas match the only exception) but the lads need our support more than ever and I shall be going to Leigh and if need be (but hopefully not necessary) to any away play off match.
For the record, I've supported Fax since the Marice Bamford era in '79 so have seen many highs and lows. This season has been the most uplifting for several years, despite the current dip, and I'm ashamed and embarrassed the way I criticise and react sometimes, but it's only cos I love the club.
So my message to the players ... keep plugging away lads and don't let our moaning get to yer, we're only human, but believe me, 99% of us wouldn't have you any other way, you've done wonders this season, and you'll get there!
is without a doubt the best season that i can remember since i joined the fax rollercoaster goin week in week out to thrum hall from 1990 onwards, was there at wembley in 87, at 14 months old and slept through he whole game on my grandmas knee!lol But i was there!!!
didnt go in 88,or john player so that was my only major final that i can shout about...i and i cant remember a thing!! ..
it outshines finishing 3rd in super league cos we were in truth very unlikely to actually win anything.......but this year has felt different all year, so much hope and expectation....and its still there!!!!!!
would love nothing more than to be donning the blue and white on oct4th
COME ON FELLAS!!! its a team game..lets turn this corner as a club united!
and give it a right go! well all be there all the way
Well said FaxFan, supporting fax is like a rollercoaster of emotions. My first game watching fax was in my pram in the scratching shed when i was 6 months old, dont remember it much of the game,so around 34 years, i have been contected to the club ever since. I have been fortunate to see fax in a few finals and been part of one myself, but i have also experienced the lows aswell. Ok its far easier supporting the team when things are going well, like the start of the season, but its times like these that we need to stick together and show our support, it was good to see the number of people stay at the end.
We are still in a position to achieve things this season,ok our form isnt the best at present, but lets do our best to help pick the lads up and have a season to remember, lets sing the lads onto the grand final.
In the past we have been pleased to have finished high up the table or beat a top team, but the last two years we have been disappointed with not getting to a final or winning some silverware so we have come along way.
The one thing that has really got my goat over the past week is so called supporters calling themselves customers. I am not a customer of Halifax RLFC, i am a supporter i have no choice in the matter they are my team which i support through good times and bad, i wear my shirt with pride win lose or draw. I have been critical of the side, and as TonyFax said its only because we love our team, but we see that it doesnt help the situation. But ask yourself why havent we achieved as much as we'd hoped as a club? A few bad results and we are on peoples backs, if we win the grand final then them same people will be cheering and shouting their love for everyone concerned.
To the players you have my support i am with you all the way, we will all get through this patch together and it will make the victory in the grand final even sweeter.
We are all a band of brothers/sisters with a common cause, so lets all pull together. Whatever doesnt kill us only makes us stronger.
This season could still have a blue and white lining.
In the words of Tony Fax NEVER SURRENDER!!!!!
