I hope its not true Ray Cashmere he is at a different level of performance to the over props at our club, HE is the standard of prop we need at superleague level look at his stats he is heads and shoulders above everyone else if he departs and we resign our current props i will question the direction the club is going in.

Ray Cashmere has in my opinion always given 100% out on the paddock for Salford City Reds and if things have not worked out whilst in our Country then so be it the Salford City Reds should release him from his contract a.s.a.p.

If he is on his toes then fair doos, he has to look after his family 1st i surpose, As long as we replace him with somebody of simular quality, SS form in the transfer market at present is very good but if he comes back with another big phil or stapo then i for one will not be very happy

If the club were to release him I'm sure they would now insist on a special clause in any release agreement. The club could stipulate that should he wish to sign for another British or European SL, NL or Rugby Union team during the period of his current contract with Salford, then a transfer fee of £100,000 - £150,000 or so applies.

Maybe the club could retain the players registration until his present contract expires and agree a loan deal to an Aussie club?

Far better to invest in UK talent - just weigh up the cost of contract, housing, family costs, travel and all the extras and you are well in excess of £100k pa. In my opinion we should look to develop good quality GB lads.

By the way - Im entitled to my opinion just as much as you are only maybe I am looking at it from a Financial point of view as well. Until we move to the new Stadium we should be operating in a totally different way.

ray cashmere is worth all that and more, he is in a different time zone to the rest of our forwards and too lose him would be a massive set us back.

obviously as the money maker in the house needs to use those massive shovel hands and start a few swinging backhands to put maud in place !!

did i not read he was staying on for the winter because they were settled and mrs c had a job over here so wasnt going back home in the close season

i'm sure at the last FR meeting he said he was now settled as his wife/girlfriend was happy here too.
