fair play to flash for showing a bit of nerve and moving out of his comfort zone to go down under. i hope the lad shows his talents down under like he has started to do with us- hopefully if he comes back he will be snapped up by us.

According to Dave Parker the contract will only be extended if all parties are happy with the deal, i assumed that all parties also included Wigan. Having another english player at the club will help and i wonder if this could now be part of a longer term partnership with West Tigers?

i must admit i'm sceptical of players go over to Oz to better themselves, i can only think of Morley where there has been a success and improvment, which he then stayed for 5 years. But good luck to him if he does go, hope it all works out as planned.
I do feel wigan are soft sometimes with regards to players, its as if contracts don't matter anymore and they can come and go as they please. Could you imagine one of the manchester united players going to sir Alex saying "sorry boss but my other half wants to go spain, so can this be my last season please." he'd say NO!
I guess only time will tell if this grand plan works out.
Stevo on a Craig Smith intersept, "that was like throwing tomato seeds out of a moving train window and coming back a year later and tomatoes have grown!"
Eddies reaction, "I don't know what he's been taking but i wants some"
Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, says he has failed to be gripped by England's rugby union World Cup bid.
"I've not seen it," said the England striker. "I've been watching the rugby league."

Wasnt it Victoria who wanted to take David to Spain and then the USA? He didnt say no to that.
With regards to Flanagan i think he is going to a club where he is going to some excellant coaching and after a year or two in the NRL he could well develop into a better player than he would if he remained in Superleague.
Gareth Ellis seems to be doing pretty well at present too.
