Couldn't agree more Carl was MOM for me but Sam pushed him for a close second despite another nasty head knock.....

Interesting what Baz will do next week when Lee is fit , Sam has been one of our best performers in Lees absence , question , do you drop consistency in favour of speed ?

What does everyone else think ? - I know where my money goes , looking at our league position and forthcoming matches.

Yep we went to sleep for 3 tries but to be fair one came from a cracking kick from the Hornets , the sort that defending against is a near impossibility. Rochdale are no mugs and apart from 10 mins we dominated throughout- no arguments

Good Support today ,well done to all who travelled over the hill

Until today I had wrote Sam off to be honest without doubt today he was one of the best on the pitch, assuming Lee is fit I would pick Lee as his pace is likely to worry Hunslet rather than Sam in my view.

On another note it says in paper Daley Williams is the latest player to commit to the cougars.

It was my first away game too; impressed by the number of Cougar fans there - was that a lot more than usual, or do that many travel to most games?

Great result, but just a bit concerned about second half.Did we take our foot off the gas or is their a problem with fitness. We should have buried em .

Whats with this sitting down lark to watch a game of rugby league
hardly any atmosphere, gimme cougar park any day :D

Daly Williams,what a player,pure rugby league brain,strong,fast,CLEVER.

Geat news that Daley has signed ,for me his best game for us so far,MoM for me.Sam was as solid as ever and i would stick with him for the remainig games,he may not have the pace of Lee Maples but consistancy is what we need at this stage.Good win but we seem to lose shape a little when Buster goes off.Three more wins and we're in the final, come on COUGARS! :D

catch 22 job this caus lee is faster but Sam is by far better in defence in my opinion, both got good qualities, shame we can't mould them.!!

Can't believe the 'Rugby Leaguer' (or whatever its called now) only had Sam down for 5 out of 10 in the match ratings ...were they seriously watching the same game or what ?

God forbid I'd tell Baz how to do his job , but is there no way we can keep both our wingers in the mix , keep Sam in for his steady-ness but have Mapes on the bench to punish teams with his speed when the opposition are tiring...

just a thought

I have never found the score relevant, they tend to give MOM to the try scorer and that's about all they get right. I saw Sam at Swindon in the reserves and wondered why he was in that side, solid steady players are essential and defending does appear to be our downfall, so I would opt for Sam with Mapels on the bench for the last 20 minutes as your good self suggested.

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.
