Congrats Fed, what a sporting great he is!

Can see him at least winning another 5 or so majors.

Gutted for A-Rod. He was very good for the whole match. After he lost the second set i thought Fed would go on to win in 4 but he held on.

Great match to watch.

I normally like Federer and he's one of, if not the greatest player imho. BUT did anyone else think having a tracksuit top handy immediately after the match with "15" on the back was a bit arrogant and disrespectful? Maybe its just his management pushing it, as he normally seems humble, as you say.

Cracking final, disappointed Murray missed out but it was a decent tournament for him all the same.

I thought that a bit. He might as well have given Roddick a top as well with '3 time loser' on it. :)

As for the match itself, I always felt in the final set that although Roddick would not go away, Federers superb grit and determination (mentioned by Roddick in the post match interview) would get him through the match.

Credit to the modern game of tennis on the mens side really that for 2 years in succession, the final has been talked upon as the greatest ever.

I thought fed came accross ok apart from one comment.

When he was asked about andy he said he knew how he felt because he'd been there before.

Duuuuuuuuude......you've won 15 grand slams, you've won wimbledon 6 times? roddick has one slam and no wimbledons.

He had no idea how roddick felt.

He also said tennis is a cruel game, meaning he acknowledged Roddick cpould well have won and was unlucky not too.

Murray overtakes Nadal

Andy Murray beat J-W Tsonga to reach the final of the Montreal Masters. Because of Nadal's earlier defeat, this means that Murray will become world ranked No 2. :)

Respect.

He plays del Potro in the final on Sunday.

(Federer and Roddick were in the tournament but also lost)
