That's out of order and the knobheads responsible should be punished.
Saying that I doubt being forced to get out of their pit earlier then they wanted was ultimately responsible for the shambolic episode on the opening day especially as it was followed up with a repeat of similar proportions on the afternoon/evening of the 4th day

No idea, but he played comfortably the best innings of the day at Basingstoke today on a slow pitch with a lot in it for the seamers.
Ajmal Shahzad was the pick of the Yorks attack - not that big but athletic and with a good action and a bit of pace and lift and a good outfielder too, with a strong arm. He'll soon fall by the wayside once some well meaning coach tries to "modify" his action!.
Rob Key looks to be making a good case for himself at the moment and the fact that he's a top order player will help his case to play at 3. The talk about Ramprakash is plain daft! the guy has always had a problem with the mentle side of the game so why anybody thinks we could throw him into a deciding Ashes test and expect him to take to it like a duck to Water is beyond me.
I think they need to look a little longer term and pick candidates they're likely to take to South Africa. I'd take Key on tour as back up opener and possible number 3 so i'd pick him in this game. I'd drop Bell and Bopara(Bopara a short term measure and Bell more longer term because he's another player with a fragile mind).
