All of these things are within the coach's remit. The odd game you can put down to indivuals players have brainstorms. But when it always seems to go wrong in the matches that matter, you have to start querying what level of training is going on behind the scenes.

This was West Tigers main grumble with Ellis, he didn't play for weeks because they wanted to take him back to basics and get him out of bad habits.

He is now playing really well in the NRL, we watched a few West's games on tele, and the commentators wouldn't shut up about how this 'pommy' was managing to play well down under.

We have a ton of good players over here, but no side is as well drilled as the top NRL sides, Huddersfield come close for me, but thats it.

I can't believe there are any Noble apologists left. Do any of you really think this is good enough for the greatest club in the world?

You're probably all really nice people and think that BN is trying hard so he should be given yet another chance, but sometimes hard decisions have to be taken for the good of the club. We are Wigan. Nothing less than success is good enough.

BN should be sacked NOW.

Here's his record of failure:

1. Failure in the league (a disgraceful start to this season in particular)

2. Failure to develop young players (Mossop, Flanagan, Ainscough etc)

3. Failure to ensure players are properly prepared for games (do we practice any set moves?)

4. Failure to ensure players are fit enough for SL (Feka, Riddell, Smith (at the start of the season he was miles off SL fitness))

I am sick of hearing the props excuse. If Noble made Feka get fit and had selected Mossop on Saturday (he deserves sacking for that omission alone in my book, Noble has failed to select our talented young players far too often this season) our pack could have more than held its own against Wire.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if we do well in the play-offs it will be despite Noble - he has alighted on a better team selection by accident - not because of him.

We sacked Clarke/McInnes after we had won the cup in '85. Noble has worked hard but he has limited ability. I'm surprised 27% still want him but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Don't know what happened to my post but I agree with everything above.

Yes you can, you can sub according to the conditions of the game, rather than by the clock.

With any club, the buck stops with the coach. He was out-coached by Smith on Saturday and as I've already pointed out that's four semi finals we've lost with Noble in three years, three of which have been lost by half-time. There's something wrong with the mind set in the really big games which means we fall apart in the first half. Are you seriously telling me that's not Noble's fault?

IMO I feel for noble, he can only pick from the players we have, and at the moment our current team isn't good enough to win trophies, noble has shown at Bradford that with the right players behind him he can win trophies. Tbh I don't think noble has much say on what players join the club and leave, this will eventually cost him his job.

That is a fantasy, and an excuse. It's been made clear several times by the club that Noble has a veto on all arrivals and departures.

You honestly think bringing in roberts and riddell where nobles idea? I'm 100% sure noble would have rather brought a prop before them, knowing damn well that's the posistion we need to improve on most.

Andy Greg wrote:Not an excuse its the truth when they are out on the field the only control he has over them is sending a message down or subing players. He is not allowed to run on the field and bang there heads together. He tells them what he wants before the game and to do what they practiced and when they walk out there its down to them to put that into practice. If they dont the next time he cam get to them is Half time. Why can people not see what is black and white the second half showed how they planned to play the game just the first half they lost the plot.

i agree with you to a certain extent , when the players go out on the field , noble will have very little control

but ,, this has now gone on for a few years ??
surely he would have house trained his puppy by now??

does he have the dressing room ?
does he have the respect ?
does he have ANY control over his team ?

if the answer to any of the above is a no , then he shouldnt be in the job after so long , simples

the time for excuses like this now is over

In fact they were 100% Noble's signings.
