Err, now this could be total BS...

But there is a sniff of a rumor that Willie Talau will be signing for York City Knights next season.

Have you guys heard anything?

Nothing would suprise me to be honest!!!

He was shot in both arms , and both legs. He later died because of his injuries. Tommy 25th March 2007.

Salford City Reds are the National League Champions again and nobody will ever win a Grand Final more dramatically than this. Division One champions, Grand Final winners, winners of the Northern Rail Cup; everything their hearts desired. Down and out? Not a bit of it, they are never out. Memories are made of this forever and a day, Salford fans will ask "where did you watch the 2008 Grand Final? Where did you see John Wilshere save the day with the last kick of the ball?"

I cant see it happening, he'd have a point to prove here 1st.

When he did play he looked a class act, i hope he can a great 2nd season and doesnt get bogged down with injuries again.

His contract runs until the end of next season but pretty much every player we have has been linked elsewhere so who knows...

He was and still is a very good player, when fit. Unfortunately though he is now at that stage of his career where he is suscepticle to injuries. He has barely played in the last 2 seasons and next year could be the same.

In my opinion the club seriously needs to rethink its transfer policy as we are not a rich club and cant afford for our big signings not to be playing. Signing over the hill players on big wages is just asking for trouble.

Hmmm. No doubt on a decent wage - maybe the club thinks they've done alright without him for most of this season so they can cut their losses. I do think we'd have won more games if he'd stayed fit.

We have not got a big budget for next season. The lads we brought over last year have gone well for us but from what i have been told there will be a lot more commitment to bringing in younger players in from other clubs in preparation for the move over to Barton. Its called forward planning :D

Cant help but notice that you have posted on a few super league club forums hinting at new signings for York.

Have they come into some money? Are we about to see a Barrowesque recruitment plan?
Genuinely interested.
