Delph is a cracking little player, and doubtlessly has a great career ahead of him, but I honestly think we'd have missed Beckford more than we'll miss Delph. Granted, pound for pound (to coin a phrase) Delph is obviously the better player, but there's no substitute for goals, and for all his sins in other departments, Beckford gets them by the truckload.
Goals. They're whats needed if we're to ever get out this grubby league and B-Eckford is Jermaine man when it comes to goals.

He does but there's nothing to say had he left whoever we signed or picked today wouldn't of scored!!
IF he drops the "bigger than the club" attitude and puts the work-rate in he did when he first started then fine i'm more than happy to keep him but he's not bigger than the club and there's no "I" in team.

He worked his knackers off today, no petulance, no whinging to the ref and looked very happy to be part of the team.
If this continues for the rest of this season we'll be right up there come the business end.

It mentioned on yorkshire radio that there's another meeting on monday morning with beckford his agent and papa smurf!!!
When ithe bates interview was played he sounded very optimistic.
If he contiues that mate i'm more than happy for him to stay and sign a new deal the last thing we need is primma donna playing for himself and his own headlines.
