True - we'd have been in a bad, bad way had we lost Beckford as well as Delph. Delph is a cracking little player, and doubtlessly has a great career ahead of him, but I honestly think we'd have missed Beckford more than we'll miss Delph. Granted, pound for pound (to coin a phrase) Delph is obviously the better player, but there's no substitute for goals, and for all his sins in other departments, Beckford gets them by the truckload.
