it appears according to the wigan chairman that the average age of the pie faithfull is getting older and older, he plans to reduce prices for kids season tickets in order to attract fresh blood through the turnstiles!
now if i was a betting man i'd conclude that these older fans are the last remnants of the "glory years" and if wigan continue to miss out on future trophys they may just fizzle out and disapear!
ancient and loyal must be a description of the fanbase rather than the club!

Thats because all the chavs and asbo holders have realised that the town of Wigan does have a football team, and have spent money on a season ticket there instead of having a holiday in Scarborough.
