Some of what you said I agree with however that statement is complete gash.
PROFEESSIONALS in ALL walks of life need motivating, sport is as much a mental thing as it is physical. Time & time again over the decades I have watched not only in sport but in the workplace how people are not able to produce their best if they are demotivated and/or don't have things right mentally or are without a leader.
Having participated in team sports (RL & Cricket) & been a manager in a big organisation it is even more important to have it right in a team situation. Ask any sports psychologist and they'll give you the full reasons why.
Teams need leaders as you've already said but
Agar is the team leader and quite frankly he hasn't the ability to lead what should be on paper a top 6 SL team.
