Agar doesnt have the back bone to do what he should and that is to cut out the bad apples but ULL boys are the protected species, Geordies do not apparently warrant that same player respect or protection.
Thorman is an absolute professional, many folk have witnessed this both on and off the park. A proud man who is doing it tough at present, with little help from Management or players! Not that he expects help I would imagine, just getting on with the cards dealt to him.

I feel sorry for Thorman. He seems like a real genuine guy but he just hasn't delivered this season. At times he's been so bad it seems like he's cursed. His first game for us, a friendly at Leeds was by far and away his best. He kicked them to death; absolutely murdered them, but he's done very little since. He is finished at Hull but I hope he gets a berth somewhere else and gets his career going again.

He wouldnt want anyones sympathy what he would want is understanding of the current situation. Its a culmination of events etc, Half backs playing behind a pack who doesnt tough it out for a result, having 15,000 watching your every move whilst at work shouting continual abuse instead of encouragement, whilst your coach is being asked for direction but instead is taking in water and sinking as quick as the Titanic.

Having a ready made "Scapegoat" is a much easier option for Agar than having the courage to challenge those who need a good shake up for not doing as asked or too many ad hoc game plans or none at all if truth be known ! Stitched up good and proper.
Certain players being allowed to be ULL limited editions and the arrogance to be in a safe comfort zone with a contract in hand, rather than an "outsider" working towards a new one. End of story
Cometh the hour cometh the man!

I feel sorry for him because he doesn't seem to accept that he's just not up to the task. As a professional sportsperson you have to be able to handle pressure and he admitted himself after the 2006 challenge cup final that nerves got the better of him

He may be a trier and a decent bloke but he seems incapable of performing under pressure which happens to be the nature of his job.

I wonder if Thorman thought it was 'banter' or merely kicking someone in the head when he's down?

If it was one way why did he wave when we sang "Thorman, Thorman. Give us a wave"?

Utter twaddle   Being from "Ull" has nothing to do with it, Agar does have his favourites though.

Thorman has never been that good a player and has only played well twice this year and the rest has ranged from poor to under 9's standard. His performance away at Leeds this year ranks as the worst individual performance by a player I've ever seen, and being a "Ull" fan I've seen a few

if thorman has never been that good then how come one of the top aussie sides saw fit to take him halfway round the world to play for them, how come he represented, sorry, captained yorkshire in a trial match for test spots and how come he was on the verge of international honours?
i think harlequins and giants fans have both been blessed in seeing the best chris thorman had to offer, hull haven't, thats down to the situation thorman has found himself in the last 12 months

Thorman has played in pressure games before and come through with great credit. He's won us games in the past and has been outstanding.

He's a shadow of his former self at the moment for sure but to infer he's not up to the pressure is total tripe. Some people have short memories or don't watch many games that they then see fit to pass judgement on.

If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.
