The guys poop and IMO would be a backward step for Rovers.

Better player? Yes. Better scrum half? No way!
I don't think you'll even get many Hull fans agreeing with that.

How'd you work that one out then? Sherwin is likely to be on at least as much, if not more than Dobson, and he's been plagued by injury and fitness issues.

Id say he is better value for money than Long, I dont rate Robinson at all and Orr is nothing special although wont be on bog wages i wouldnt have thought. Cant argue with the others too much, but Eastmond has played 6 games in SL (i think) and you think he is better than Dobson. Seems you are a bit negative tbh, but im sure you will respond by saying you're "just a realist"

Brent Sherwin-Previously brilliant player, well past best.
Sean Long- See Brent Sherwin
Lee Briers- Can't tackle and injured a lot
Danny Orr-Had his best days 7/8 years ago
Luke Robinson-Good young player but does not have an all round game but getting better
What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

Nor can Dobbo, he is in the top 5 for missed tackles, an area which he needs to improve to be in the same league as Sherwin & Long have been.

Missed tackles are often thougght to not reflect tackling ability as a lot of players are more willing to attempt lost causes which makes for a higher mised tackle count.

That's a poor way of looking at defensive ability. For example:
In 16 appearances this year, Long has made 166 tackles and missed 37. That means he's missed ~18% of tackles "attempted".
In 23 appearances this year, Dobson has made 318 tackles and missed 68. That means he's missed ~17% of tackles "attempted".
Stats are stats, but there are so many different ways of looking at them. I agree Dobson's defence needs to improve but that's based on watching him week in, week out.
Scott Murrell is top of both "Tackles" and "Missed Tackles", but I know his defence is excellent.
