Any Liverpool fans know much about him?
By Brown and Duffen cashing in on Turner. Their approach to the coming season has shown almost zero ambition, they're almost guaranteed to be bottom 2 IMO, so I don't think it will be long before the 4 or 5 top-flight level players move on TBH. They've had a great opportunity and not shown enough intent to make the most of it. They don't deserve to be in the premier league.

I actually think Turner will stay until January as i dont think anyone will match our asking orice of £12m,
Have to say i kind of agree about the lack of ambition we should of been looking to build on last season but it now looks like the squad for the opening game is gunna be weaker than last season and will be 20 times harder this season to stay up

Brown and Duffen look to have blown it to me, unless they can produce 3/4 decent signings in the next month. Brown is a clown at times, I think he is looking for a move off the back of the job he's done at City.

He can't be that bad otherwise he would have gone to Geordie land and that joke of a club

Maybe the Newcastle job, where he could have the recruitment done for him. His efforts in the transfer market have been pretty woeful overall.

They won't, because it's ridiculous. But I think £9m could shift him and is possibly attainable. It makes me laugh that Brown has criticised the inflated prices about but then contradicted it with Turner. Also, he complained he couldn't even sign championship players (Ledley & McCormack) for less than £5m, whilst having a £6m bid on the table for Fraizer Campbell, on the basis of 1 good championship season. He likes making noises but talks little sense. It's like the Ricketts sale, he's now said he was offered Nicky Hunt as part of the deal but wasn't interested. Why not? He's a decent right back, certainly better than not having one at all, or possibly paying a small fortune for 31 year old Habib Beye.
I agree it's a weaker squad with a more difficult task in prospect. I still think Duffen and Brown have one eye on the championship TBH, and that's what's held them back. The talk of Owen was complete rubbish, he was never going to even contemplate playing for Hull City. I can't think of a single player linked to them this summer who fits the criteria of the sort of player they need. As Paul M said, they've blown it.

Today's links are with Beye, Barton and Jozy Altidore for £6m from Villareal. It seems to me they need two strikers and another midfielder, preferably a wide player if Bullard is going to be fit. The defence looks decent enough with the new signing, Gardner, Turner and Zayatte. I also don't understand why Brown keeps wanting to play Mendy at fullback, he is dynamite with the ball and should be playing as a winger where he could really hurt teams with his pace.
On the transfer list at Millwall because he wants to leave to play at a higher level. Though I think he's more of a Championship standard player, so maybe he'll fit in at Hull.
At Liverpool he showed some promise, but like so many youngsters (wrongly or rightly) was let go.
