If I could get one of my neighbours to attend the game I would gladly pay for them if I thought they would get hooked, but sadly they would rather watch Wigan and St Helens and Leigh rather than Salford City Reds.
Last season the Huddersfield Giants made there fixture against the Catans more or less free and I can tell you it worked for them, I even attend that game myself.
Look it's all about getting people to attend a game and I can see no reason why if the club decided to give away a few thousand tickets for this re-arranged game against the French then that would be fine by me.
At the end of the day it's all about getting bums on seat and then hopefully a few of the newcomers may return in the near future.
i agree with you J.R, but the only way we will ever boost our gates and keep them coming is assembling a play off contending team with a possibility of wembley. But for the next couple of years then i cannot see it. Yes i am for expanding our fan base but lets make them want to come and watch the reds. iam sure our full time marketing dept should be able to come up with ideas, after all that is what they are paid to do, without upsetting the already loyal fans

I have already paid for my Season ticket and don't feel BITTER at all about the club giving away free tickets the more that watch the club the more chance of people coming back.
More people in the better, couldnt care less whether Ive already paid for my Season Ticket, I would pay anyway for the good of the club and also as someone mentioned, where are all thesse freebies cos I never see any when some of my mates want to come.

Can see what you are saying but, its like when you buy anything, you can more or less see it in a sale later in the season.
We buy our S/T more or less at the end of this season or thereabout, to put money in the coffers of our club during the off season as bills/wages still have to be paid,so for the last 3 home games if the club were to do some ticket deals ie, £30 for those 3 games, its just like shops having a sale.
It would be dependant on purchasing them for all the 3 games, & not available after this day up to this Thursday with the shop possibly opening late to accomadate people getting there from work who cant book over the phone. It would need extensive advertising, M.E.N. Radio a.s.a.p.
Just an idea!!!!!

Snap!
I had the choice at the start of the year whether to buy a season ticket or not. I knew how much it would cost and what I would get in return.
I decided I was happy to pay that amount, so I am now a season ticket holder and I am getting exactly what I paid for (ie. entry into all home games).
It makes absolutely no difference whatsoever to me how many free tickets are now given away (nor doesn't it affect my mortgage repayments?! )
The more people at The Willows, the better, as far as I am concerned.

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

with a unchanged team maybe just 1,000
maybe than the club will see what is going on.
so far the views of fans, and results count for nothing
i was going to the warrington game with radio manchester on, the team was given out as unchanged. so turned around why waste my money on that sh*t team line up, and the money goes to a liverpool club.
