If the fans of Widnes really think at the current juncture they would be able to perform much better, in the last two seasons in Super League they only avoided finishing bottom by the skin of their teeth with a side arguably more talented then our own today.
As for Widnes , they seem to have the complete package ,stadium, team, success, history, but we can't live in the past. Are you confident you could get crowds much largetr in super league than you already do ???
You do know there was 1 comment by a Widnes fan on this thread yes? So why harp on about Widnes when it's a Fev and Cronulla fan making the noise?
Think since winning the NRC, Widnes are fairly happy to just keep monentum up! Yes they'll be the odd noise of resentment of course there will, but on the whole it's quitening down as we wait for our next chance!

Edited for accuracy
P.S. Lets have a little look at the Sharks history shall we?
42 years and never won the championship (in fact only 3 GF in 42 years) - hardly a successful team huh? - Sounds a bit like Celtic oh hang on though we've been around four years not 42
Bailed out in 1987 by the League - hmmmm now who does that remind you of?
Announced cash flow problems this year due to low attendances - hmmm now who does that remind you of?
Barry come of the closet mate, you spend so much time on this board and others talking about us you must be a Crusaders fan.

I don't have to wear Versace aftershave or take the team out for a posh meal when I go to watch them!!!
They don't mind if I arrive early, drool at their performances or tell all my mates about them in the pub afterwards!!!!
So in many way - yes!!!!!
And I've been wi Fev 4 years longer than my wife:-
1st game 1973 aged 12.
Started going out wi Carol Nov 77' possibly the best year of my life.
Meet Carol - Fev win the Championship and are the best team in the land!!!
Why can't that be my groundhog day!!

I'm a good looking Aussie boy living in London in a sharehouse and I drink at the Walkie, the Reddie and the Church.
Trust me, getting laid is not a problem
