2) £400k Yes may well have under estimated his worth there. Worth every penny too if you ask my opinion. In any valuation you have to look at the word `potential`. Forwards who can tackle come ten a penny. Jewels like Stef with good hands, good feet and vision are worth their weight in Gold.
A contract in RL terms is only worth more than the paper it's printed on if BOTH parties are still happy with it. If a player asks to leave what would you do? answer me that please? This scenario has happened so many times at Wakefield, these things happen lads!
IF SR asked to leave there is nothing you can do but agree and use the cap space to find his replacement.

What exactly is your point? He hasn't asked for his contract to be terminated - these hypothetical points mean nothing. You could apply them to any player in any situation.
How often do you exactly see players (in this case one year into a potential 3 year contract) simply being released in the middle of a contract for the club to get absolutely nothing, no compensation, because the player wants to go elsewhere? He's contracted to the end of next season with the option of another year. If we offer him that extra year next season, which I would gather is extremely likely, and he does go then we'll be compensated due to his age.

It happens all the time mate!
Let's just wait untill mid sept and see if he doesn't want to join Kear's Hero's.
And by Oct/nov don't start fretting if we have started construction on our new ground.

List them - you'll obviously be able to come up with a lot if it happens all the time.

From my own club,
Brad Davis
Garen Casey
Ben Jeffries
Nat Wood
Ben Westwood
Matt Peterson
Just off the top of my head, when your lower down the pecking order these things happen. Lets face it if he wants to pay in the play-offs he's going to have to move.
(thats the last i'm saying on it. pub time!)

Well already I can see that you've listed players there that you received a transfer fee for - both Westwood and Wood.

not a penny for either mate. As i have said there is not point holding a player that wants to leave. Have it on from a very good source that he has already spoken to JK about next year in the red, white and blue.
As i have said before we will just have to wait till sept.

You'll also note the mention of illegal approaches in the second article as well which would apply to this situation. If your "source" is as credible as you are then I suspect they're also as big a WUM as you are and talking absolute bollocks.
