We got into the player's bar, They all came in after getting changed, Thorman was last in. The daughter was having a shirt signing frenzy with our lot. Saw Thorman and headed for him.....he almost looked surprised to sign it. FFS.....hes a fookin human being. And one with feelings like you and me. I've booed him myself.... and it all made me realise what a tw*t I was doing it. All the way home all I've thought is...ok He might be a pro and getting well paid but nobody deserves that. How's this affecting him? His other half? I know I wouldnt want it.

The kid must have no confidence left now, average player i know, but nobody deserves that.
Should be his last game for us, and he should be playing NL1 or NL2 next season at best.

I'm touched by how sorry some are for him, for his family and all that. I'm sure no one sorry for Thorman and complaining about his treatment is slagging Agar on a daily basis. The fact is he isn't good enough at this level.
If we couldn't get another halfback we should have stuck with James Webster. Stupid decision by Hull that has backfired. It would seem that the introduction of Jon Sharp (great player for Hull) has only resulted in failure. Thorman probably came as a result, Ben Cooper probably came as a result. I thought Sharp was the defensive coaching guru? We got a lesson tonight in how to defend with a committed rush defence. Offside ? Probably most of the time but if you get away with it you do it. It does need 100% commitment for 80 minutes from everyone mind.
Thorman has never been very good as his career evolution proves. The problem wasn't dropping him to fullback last night. It was hiring him in the first place. Same with Jon Sharp I fear.

He was a very good SH. Remember, he was picked for England. He had a very good kicking game. He was an extremely good servant for us - despite what some 'supporters' say.
He was asked to play FB by Mr Sharp. He played OK - until Brough pumelled him with high balls. After that his confidence was shattered - until after JS departed and he returned to SO. He played the season out there and did a good job.
He didn't want to leave the Giants, but strangely followed JS to Hull.
Now, I wonder if you should be picking on Thorman and Agar????
By the way, I was embarrassed by our chants of 'Thorman what's the score'. Totally out of order.
top post ivor
i really felt for him at the end and i thought our little crew at the back were bang out of order i tried to redress the balance by offering support.

Exactly,
Thorman has not worked out in our team since the Bradford away game in March yet the fooking plank who picks the team cannot see the wood for the tree's.
We know Thormans confidence is shot to ribbons so who was responsible for putting him at FB when Tansey had to go off. R Horne should have gone there. Afterall, he has done bugger all in the halfs (AGAIN) this season either.
Thorman didn't cost us the game, our inability to score any points was a far bigger factor.

Thorman shouldn't have been selected at all.

i was in the players lounge after the game (my lad was mascot at the game) and Thorman was chatting to a few of the giants players. It was clear from his body language that he is completley lacking any self confidence and belief. TBF the giants players seemed to be doing their best to lift his spirits and encourage him. The vast majority of Hull players in there were very glum and down as i would have expected after a performance like last night so they do at least appear to care.

As a player, I dont rate Thorman personaly, but as a human being you have to feel sorry for him, imagine how you would feel in the same position?
