Hi all,
Recent times have seen the death of two British soldiers from Castleford, one of whom played through our scholorship scheme and whose brother is currently coming through the junior ranks.
Just thought I'd make everyone aware of this, I know that sometimes it's difficult to hear our PA system so you might wonder why everyone has gone quiet!
I believe the families of both will be attending the game, and am sure the silence will be impeccaby observed by all.

Read about this in the news, very sad news and I hope the silence in held with the upmost respect that these kids deserve.

I will second these sentiments, these guys are so young and to do what they do, commands respect, i took a couple of hours off last week to visit Hull city centre and welcome our guys back from Iraq, before they go out to Afghanistan at a later date, the one thing that realy struck me was, just how young they were.
they are a proud example to their generation and i am sure the minutes silence will be observed to a man.

I couldn't get out of work but applaude anyone in the forces. the minutes silence is the least they deserve. Heroes the lot of em!!!

Sad times for their families, the minimum we as fellow countrymen and Rl family can do is to honour them with a silence (or applause, if the family wish it).

It will be a minute's silence.

And I will third them (though didn't see it in the news). Perhaps worth a mention on both club's website?
