So Cheekie Charlie really is Hudge????

Motto of the week -

It is the way of the weak to secretly bleat to those in authority rather than fight their own battles.

From the man who declared in the Yorkshire Post that two "top drawer" signings would be announced "between now and the end of the year" when Rovers had lost 5 of their last 7. And coincidentally around the time of trying to mask a 23% increase in ticket prices with a half-baked and ill-communicated membership scheme. Excuse me whilst I choke on the stench of hypocrisy.

So as he said 'the end of year' exactly what has he gone back on.
Hull announced their 'top drawer' signings during a season long losing streak.
And the membership scheme is going fine thanks Mrs Obsessed
Feel free to choke

He was criticising clubs for promising new players for next season during this season. Having the previous week promised "2 top drawer players" for next season. Apologies if the double standards there are too subtle for you. At least our announcements were actual players that us fans don't pay for until December.. Yours are vague promises that fans are paying for 8 months in advance. Short-changed indeed.

You best read the programme.
He has no need to appease the Rovers fans this season as the play offs are virtually guarenteed with the current group of players.
Where as across on your forum several threads have sprung up all year from fans saying they will not purchase a season pass in 2010 because of the dire standard of rugby Hull FC produce
Confirmed in this next extract in which he refers to recruitment
'Let me assure everyone that we are very active on that front.
We will only bring in players though that add something to the squad so i suppose now we are getting more established our recruitment becomes more selective and patient as a result'

So it's OK to make vague promises about "top drawer" signings and "assure everyone that Rovers are very active", whilst demanding a £60 upfront payment to avoid a £50 on-cost later this year. What is not OK is to announce 4 actual new players for next season whilst asking for nothing. Do you really not see how ludicrous his claim to some sort of "respect the fans" moral highground is? Honestly?

In terms of the season passholder numbers point, I guess we won't know until December how we compare. Using your logic, Club Rovers is going so fantastically, and FC fans are so disillusioned, that Rovers passholder numbers could well exceed FC's in 2010.

How much more overdramatic can you possibly be
Demanding £60
People either choose to pay it they dont.
Id say securing Newton,Welham and Fox to long term deals is being active wouldnt you, it doesnt have to be players from other clubs although there will be a few additions.
Hull have announced players early to give your lot hope of a change afer 2 seasons of under performance on a grand scale.
You have seen and probably commented on the threads across on your forum from disgrunted fans so dont even attempt to suggest they havent happened.
As said Hudge certainly knows how to press the right buttons to pee you lot off :D

Unless they spend £60 now, they get a 23% increase of later in the year. Between a rock and a hard place I think is the phrase.

You don't have to blag it to me, I've no intention of signing up for Club Rovers, even with the vague "top drawer" signings incentive.

So they shouldn't have done so because....? And it's not just us announcing players now. Did you miss Fa'alogo, Soliola, L'Estrange, Hall etc. Are Saints somehow disrespecting their fans by announcing Soliola?

Gavin Miller - Legend wrote:You have seen and probably commented on the threads across on your forum from disgrunted fans so dont even attempt to suggest they havent happened.

Where have I said our fans aren't disgruntled, I am agreeing with you. Like you said, Club Rovers membership is going brilliantly, and our fans are hacked off to the point of falling attendances. Surely in 2010 Rovers will get an extra 1,000 passholders and FC will lose at least 1,000, so Rovers passholder numbers will exceed FC's.

Major difference amongst all that flannel is yes Saints have announced signings.
They have also announced the release of Long and Gilmour.
Rovers have not released anybody as yet.

Bradford same scenario as you, crap season so announce 2010 signings early.
Plus like Saints have let it be known Newton and Morrison are not being retained

Your normally into micro detail on my posts.
You therefore know that i have already stated that i believe that the initial intake of 2010 members will come from the existing fan base.
So nice try but no cigar.
