For what it's worth i would like to see the clubs attitude change.
for as long as i can remember (i go back to the late seventies) we always sack the coach and then move on to the next one and then repeat it again every two years or so.
why for a change can't we look at other areas of the club and that includes us the fans and ask is everything how it should be for the coach and players to give their best because i for one am sick of the it;s only salford it don't matter attitude from everyone connected with the club.
p s
this is not a back or sack the coach post but a plea for everyone the fans the club officials and staff to have a look in the mirror and ask themselves am i doing everything i can to change the perception of the club because that is whats needed most at the willows
did anyone here fitz on gmr last thursday night when asked about what was stefs best position was he answered that 6 was his best and would be a future international in 2 years the next bit surprised me when he said but for some unknown reason he keeps playing him week after week out of position dont think there is much love lost between mcrae and fitz by the way he was talking about him and couldnt understand how after he ripped saints apart he was back in the centre the next week as i said in an earlier post mccrae is inept

I remember a situation with Wakefield a few years ago. They were on a terrible losing run and went to Knowsley Road and got hammered.
After the match the Wakey fans made a quiet, orderly protest and refused to leave the ground. From memory the protest really hit home with the players/coaches and the effort and enthusiasm was raised to a different level from that point on.
I'm not suggesting that this is something Salford fans should consider but it's amazing how adversity can often work in your favour.
Roll on Friday and let's see which players put their bodies on the line after last weeks 2nd half debacle?
Why would Fitz be happy with the coach,he's out of the team and ,for the moment, correctly so.
Bomber can talk the talk but wins over Leeds, Saints ,Wire and Bradford surely show he can ,and has at previous clubs also, walked the walk.
Why not replace him with an inexperienced ,unproven coach.
Yep, lets go for it !!
Amazing

How foolish of you?!
Apparently, when we lose, it's due to McRae's inept coaching, when we win, it's despite McRae's inept coaching.

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

As a 'journalist' (sic) Barker should perhaps concentrate on reporting rather than giving us his opinion (or 'telling it like it is' as you put it).
It's equally amusing that "it's tough" if McRae can't handle it but that Barker spits his dummy out just as much when he gets slagged on here.
I always assumed 'LoyalFan' was a reference to Salford, rather than a poor quality RL reporter.
I happen to think (rightly or wrongly) that Neil writes a lot of decent stuff. It's all about opinion... you have yours.. and a lot of it is valid... but people won't always agree with you. He keeps us in the news... and I struggle to think of another reporter who gives us as much coverage. Our couch however... I don't agree with... he's made a lot of bad calls... and I'm not the only one who thinks it.
Neil gets plenty of criticism from me... I however have the balls to say it to him over the phone or to his face rather than come on here spouting off about how poor he is. Agreed... he doesn't get it right all the time, but can anybody really question the article is question and tell me most of what he wrote wasn't spot on.
As for reporting and not opinion.... Much of sports journalism is based on opinions... I fail to see why a journalist cannot give an opinion. Almost every jouro in the MEN gives articles based on opinion... be in Salford, Man Utd, Man City, Bolton etc... it's that kind of newspaper.
Think everyone should seriously get off Mcraes back. He knows we dont have a good side thats why we are playing like we are , next season will be his first full proper Super League pre season, in that I mean last year all the good players available were already snapped up as we were in NL1 hafway thru the season. Everyone knows that deals are done mid season and I think we shouldnt feel too hard done by with the signings we did get. Henry , Cashmere, and Swain will all prove to be good signings imo and the truth is Fitzy isnt good enough, thats why hes out of the side and Im sure that Ratchford will get his time in the middle but for now as Mcrae has stated we are short of backs and honestly would you try Smith out on the wing / centre. If people say drop Smith , ok fair enough but bring in who? Jason Walton is a good player but not SL standard yet especially as a back, People say how about throwing Palfrey etc. in, listen Lewis Palfrey good player but not yet ready for Super League . I will accept comments from people eg why bother picking Myler etc but I think until Myler is a done deal announced etc and Mcrae has been very honest in all this then why shouldnt he play? Im havin my 2 pennys worth and I know people will shoot me down, but I go every week same as you and I think we should reserve judgement until end of next year see the progress thats been made as they say Cas were in our boat this time last year . Im no massive fan of Mcrae but I think he should be given the chance ofat least another year! After all the wins against Saints, Hull, Hudds, Wire, Leeds etc and a few close games as well is tons more than what was expected
