Would imagine that unrealistic expectations would be one of if not the biggest problem that city could face in all this. I imagine that if fans are patient and sensible then success will follow within the next few years.

i cant really think of any new city fan posters on here D'D E'E Cibaman and myself have been posting a while now. I do however think we will finish top 4 this year we will finish above Arsenal and will have agood scrap with Liverpool for 3rd i think. If Alonso goes i think 3rd is definatly there for the taking

Yes he has, apart from in the first team and England U21s
He has played centre half. Moyes has said he has ability to play
centre half but I would prefer to see him develop in midfield
looks fantastic in there, even at this age.

We've always been glory hunters. Unfortunately the glory has found it too easy to evade capture.

Same feeling here.
I have absolutely no sense of nostalgia for a portacabin outside the ground.

Spot on.

Martin O'Neill's said even more today. He reckons Citeh should be considered one of the favourites for the title. I know you're trolling but I don't know what his excuse is - he's probably just stupid.
Citeh have strengthened their team from last season, but nowhere near enough for them to be considered as credible top 4 candidates. They've made good signings, but none of them are particularly spectacular. Your fans wanted Tevez to stay, but Fergie didn't seem to care too much and he wasn't in your first 11. Barry, Benitez wanted him, but no one else in the top 4 seemed interested. He couldn't manage to break the top 4 with a side who were on the brink, so it's going to be even harder to improve Citeh by 22 points and do it. Santa Cruz and Adebayor? Possibly could be decent, but just as much chance of being one season wonders.
One of the most difficult things Citeh will face is the way oppo teams will raise their game against them. They've become far more of a scalp with their signings this summer and sides will love to get one over on them. They've pi55ed off Chelsea and Man Utd and most of the other clubs will be envious of the cash they've got to spend.
O'Neill said that Citeh could do what we did 5 years ago. But the situations are nowhere near comparable. We'd broken into the top 4 before Abramovich came. He was starting off with a better squad and added on better players. Ranieri is proven to not be a truly top level manager, but he's still got a far better record than Hughes has.
Citeh's aim should be a safe finish for Europe and a very good run in at least one of the cups. Picking up a top 4 spot when the top 4 are so established is asking way too much.

City simply have to pay more. It's not a big issue to our owner. It's not as if our club is at the mercy of the banks.
Couldn't resist a bite because you don't agree with my judgement, could you?
Very happy with the signing of Johnson myself, though he was a bit over-priced.
But I look at the likes of Santa Cruz, Toure, and Adebayor and I'm not filled with intimidation as you would with the likes of Rooney, Drogba, Terry or Ferdinand.

To be honest, I didn't know who you supported. I never knew of you until you posted.

Hang on, you are now comparing every single signing we make against Rooney, Drogba, Terry and Ferdinand. Liverpool haven't got a centre-half who is anywhere near the quality of Ferdinand and Terry. You also only have one centre-forward worthy of a top-half Premiership club. Yet you finished second.
