No. We wouldn't have hammered them as we played cackamallababshit, but, your most salient point is that we would have defended far better in all the break down plays that they hurt us with, as for me, the biggest thing that Briscoe brings is his reading and general nous of the game.

Many very, very good Fullbacks can tackle well in a one on one, take a high ball under pressure and mop up kicks towards the in goal. What most can't do, and where the value of Briscoe shines through is his reading of the game and the respect he commands throughout the team, if Briscoe tells a player to cover a particular area of the park and watch for a particular play all our team will do, and, nine times out of ten, he's correct in his decision making. Added to that he's there as an unequivocably brave last barrier.

Having Brisc on for the 80 would have more of an effect then people may think. Aside from him being absolutely class, Fisher and Fitzy would have been used correctly, giving us sharper ruck speed throughout the full game. Thus being the reason we would have HAMMERED you!

We lost Briscoe for most of the match and at a time when we had all the momentum. We played with 16 men for the rest of the match unable to rotate our hookers which in the modern game is hugely important to keeping you going forward. In Briscoe we have England's No1 fullback and arguably one of the best attacking fullbacks in the country. Doubt we'd have hammered you but the score would have never being in doubt. Even though i never felt worried every time Hull did something Rovers matched it and always could have stepped up a gear IMO.

Unlike you, we havent had the luxury of having (more or less) a full strength squad all season, so I couldnt answer that question.
