Who did you blame? Jill or Quinny?

As good as Phil Taylor is playing i wish Terry Jenkins would have some pride about himself and try and win a few legs he just looks like there is no reason for him to be up there a truly pathetic performance from "The Bull"...
Realistically how many players can actually beat Phil Taylor?...

Taylor wins yet again. I can't see how you can say Jenkins doesn't look interested or call him pathetic as he was trying but he was just hammered by the greatest player ever.

In a final I'd say none (Barney having the best chance if his head was right).

Over a Premier League length game or the even shorter Grand Slam of Darts 1st round format he is beatable if the player goes in with the right attitude.

The sport is basically stagnating behind him and the BDO seems even more bereft of young talent with most of their top players 40+. The fact Baxter, Jenkins, Part and Priestley are still 10 tenners is an indication that the youngsters and BDO defectors are just not up to the job consistantly and though people like Osbourne, Thornton, Tabern etc shine sporadically they do not look as though they can establish themselves at the top of the game. Gary Anderson has the talent but has he the commitment (and for that matter James Wade seems to be going that way also).

I think the problem is you can make £100,000 a year by just making quarter finals, the odd semi and even more if you sneak a Premier League place. If that is good for the sport in the long run I am not so sure and the stagnation amongst the top players in the last few years means those say 4-10 in the world are happy to keep doing what they're doing and settle for holding their own rather than pushing on to another level and in some ways those behind who might make 50k from winning the odd floor tournament and having a run on TV are probably more bothered with how they spend that cash than practicing hard and doubling those earnings by breaking into the top 10.

Terry Jenkins blaming outside interests probably sums it up, if he was in danger of dropping down the rankings fast and missing out on the big tournaments and Premier League I do not think he would be spending so much time buying antiques and doing up houses but like a lot of players he is in a comfort zone with little really motivation to improve as Sid Waddel said at best he is 97 average which will not beat Taylor in a Final so why practice hours and hours like Taylor when you know if you make 100 average he will get to 109.

I disagree Terry Jenkins is a notorius bottler in Finals and never does himself justice he was outplayed but never had the fight in him and never looked to threaten...

I dont contribute very often on this forum, but occasionally I read parts of it (RL),today I slipped up and found myself on this (Darts ) section , it has really amazed me at the number of people that are interested in the hobby,I wont call it a sport because I would be frightened of being assaulted by true sportspeople, honestly how can any sportsloving person get any adrenalin going by watching such a miniscule boring pastime like darts, even the participants are beer swilling jerks with no ability to move around with any speed whatever, and the only above average ability they require is to be able to add and subtract up to 501 mentally(which I would expect most 8 year olds to do quite accurately)......why dont you all "get a life and follow a proper sport???....Tiddley Winks or maybe Curling.
