If your being honest you know full well it wasn't forward and you know in both derbies this season you have been hanging on for the win. Fair play for getting them both and being a full 10 points better than us over the course of 160 minutes of rugby.
Robbo listen mucker, it was forward , at least a yard, the official spotted it , and quiet rightly so. Onwards and upwards (and forward!!!) excuse the pun.

I've watched the game a few times. We were the better team. You had a great first 5 minutes and then it was pretty much all FC.
It seems you're mistaking "under-8's-style offloading" for "outplaying the opposition". Despite FC being so much better than Rovers, you never took the lead and scored less points than us in 80 minutes.

No tinted specs here, Rovers played poorly, as they have for the last 2 months, yet were still the better side (just) over the full 80 minutes. Yes, Hull had periods of domination (last 10 mins of 1st half, 1st 15 mins 2nd) but looking at the full picture, we shaded it, as the score suggests. If Galea hadn't had axle grease on his hands we would have been out of sight by half time, but thats idle speculation, a bit like harping on about refereeing decisions.
End of the day, Rovers will have to get back to their early season form to make any impression on the Play Offs, otherwise it will merely be a 2 week season extension. Hull's season is over, as they will not make up a 4 point deficit on teams in the top 8.
Rovers looked in control up to the Tansey try, I thought that going in at 12-0 would have been harsh on us, as it was Hull got to 12-6 and must have been delighted and looked the better team from then on. (barring the last ten maybe.)
I agree on the "under 8's" style rugby although maybe wouldn;t have put it so harshly. FC threw the ball around pretty recklessly and it came off for them and as such looked adventurous, on another day it wouldn't come off and look desperate. As I put in another thread they more or less seemed to say sod it after the Briscoe lay off (as in the Leeds game) and it started to pay off..
Bottom line we had an off day and came through which has to be a positive thing.

I agree so here's a couple of previous comments from "respected" posters on this forum regarding Mr Silverwood.

We will obviously disagree on the game as I believe we shaded the game but didn't get the rub of the green when we needed it. TBF we shouldn't need to rely on luck and it shows just how poor we have become. I agree we wont make the play-offs but unless you improve significantly in the next few weeks I cant see you making much of an impression in the play-offs.

And there is your problem, you cannot win even when you outplay the opposition (allegedly )

You would also have to look at the amount of 'line-balls' that get let off nowadays. I reckon you can safely say that if your side are penalised for giving a forward pass, you can pretty much guarantee it went forward! To be fair it's the only thing the FC supporters can latch onto as far as salvaging any pride from another derby defeat. They nearly scored off an illegal play. WOW!
If anything it should have been a Rovers penalty, unless you can say Craig Hall 'accidentally' passed it forward.
since when do you get penalised for giving a forward pass ?

Technically, you could say the receiving player is offside
