Has the thought occured we werent at our best either? the way i see it matterson has bemoaned our inability to 'win ugly' all season, against salford and yourselfs we finally learnt to not throw the ball around when its raining and we ground out a win with a below par performance. i agree with you about league position, it can change all to quickley, i think kear had it spot on though whne he said that no matter what the result yesterday both teams will make the playoffs.

when the score got to 50 we shouted for more, up popped brad davis went over for four.....

......and its no nay never no nay never no more will we face religation......

Conversely we could argue our win would have been bigger if Chase hadn't lost the ball over the line and inches from the ground. Then we could all continue debating other ifs and buts for the rest of the week. Better to move on to what might be done next weekend than what you can't change from yesterday??? For what it's worth I agree with Kear when he said pre-match that we'd both finish in the eight regardless of yesterdays result. If we do and we meet again the big if for me will be 'if Sherwin plays for Cas'. If he doesn't and conditions are good we could struggle with Wakey's greater number of pivotal players. Lot's of other ifs to come though methinks.

Actually I thought he should have given it to JD on that occasion instead of dummying it. Whether it would have made a difference to the scoreline I don't know but JD was coming in willing to take it and Drew just ran past him. Poor decision IMO.

Had the game been on SKY I think that would have been given as Bibey knocked the ball out of Chase's hands which is play on then a cas player followed up and touched the ball down. But as you say it'ss all ifs, buts and maybes now!

JD was the only runner, if our running lines were better and Drew had more options, even just one more!! Think we would have gone over......in short it was a great run by Drew, but poorly supported by the rest (JD apart), thus making Drew look a little stupid! But find it hard to blame Drew!!!!!

Makes a nice change tbh. Usually in our games with you it is the other way round - including the result!

you mean winning by 2 points..because of our lack of a decent goalkicker..even though it was 5 tries to 4 in our favour..ok you won the game..
but i think we stuffed you a bit more at belle vue...

I'm surprised you can't remember the circumstances leading up to that game. Most decent rugby league fans can. Your team certainly showed respect, and all credit to them. Pity you can't follow their example.

close the the topic you got beat end of story none of this... if he would have passed to so and so we would have won if paul wellens would have kicked all the goals the previous week they would have easy beat you and you wouldnt be in a play off spot now it reminds me if shifty was playing think he would have kicked you off the park wind, rain or snow anyway.think he better than brough on his day but he only has 7 days a year vastly expierienced player made andrew johns a legend
