Cas won due to 2 things imo:
1 Better Control
2 More Desire
They deserve the win - no doubt!
However, despite some reasonable effort from us, our ball control (aided by the number of penalties given) was attrocious. How many times did the ball not reach the target area - I lost count.
Truth is, we never looked like winning and barely lookked like we wanted to win. I hope the cobwebs will be blown off under JK's match review, as Salford will be bouncing off the wall after their defeat today.
Very poor performance and very few who can hold their head up tonight - but well done Cas' - you did what you had to do.

he made some odd decisions but for both sides to be fair. seen much much worse though.
the issue about laying on though is a fair one, on some days the refs seem to allow longer than others and cas realised this better than us and took advantage of it. i have no problem with that it's part of the game

Absolutely not, although he let your motley lot get away with putting the hand in, grappling around the neck and being offside for most of the game. Our failure to capitalise on the scant number of chances we created killed us.
Moore will be kicking himself for not passing when he clearly should have. Grix, though he put in the effort, continues to make the wrong choice - poor passes when he should back himself or when it's not on for his team mate. What was Drew doing running backwards and sideways all in one?! Our backs let us down in execution, didn't notice Gleeson at all for one thing.
Awful kicking game (Brough can't find touch for a penalty, but kicks it straight out when going for a 40-20, seen far too much of that this season!), poor passing, poor ball retention, poor discipline, no desire, no creativity. Cas controlled the territory in the first half even with their mediocre forwards. Rangi Chase dominated the proceedings. They played a sensible game, and though there were too many knock ons from both sides, Cas just had the edge when it came to pinning us back where we wanted them.
