The link doesn't work, so I assume that's to do with Sven? Makes for a nice bit of publicity for Bradford if we can go over there and turn them over on the opening day, under the inevitable glare of the nations cameras.

I, like everyone else, have grave doubts about what has been happening at Notts County, but I do think it would be great for football if they are serious about what they claim to want to do there.
Where's the fun in being a multi billionaire taking over an already decent side and throwing another £20 million at them? Taking a team from the 4th division is much more of a challenge.

Signed Lee Hughes today too. Great signing for that division, there'd been a fair bit of interest in him from Championship clubs like.
££££'s have spoken I guess at 32, and, well, y'know jail etc.

It's a council owned ground and a bit out of town to be seen as prime location plus they do not have a training ground so it does not seem to be asset stripping they are after.
Perhaps they thought it was Forest they were buting and did not want to look daft and go back on things when they found out the truth.

I got a certificate a few years back for donating to help keep 'the oldest football league club' alive. I was just wondering if it was worth asking the new moneybags owners for my donation back obviously with a HUGE bonus for saving their butts! Call it £2000.
"Arguably the best Rugby League side certainly in the last 40 years!" Phil Clarke.

Unless there is a big improvement in the next few weeks, and McCall doesn't walk, I hope our chairman has the balls to sack him.
Below is my reply to a similar post on the OMB...
Quote:A daft campaign borne out of emotion rather than rational thinking. One of the reasons I didn't turn up to the last home game. I've given him the benefit of the doubt for a long time, I'm quite easy going and can see the positives in most situations. But It's sad to say that he's not the man for the job.
I think the players are good enough to get promotion this season, but someone needs to be ruthless if we're going to do it.
Like I say, I genuinely think we have a squad capable of doing it, with the right man in charge, because this league is full of average teams. But I do wonder if our chairman will have the bottle as you say Asim.

Well, I don't know about the chairman, but whoever writes the headlines on the official site has almost got it right (just need to remove the colon).
I have to say I'm glad I'll soon be out of the country for six months and miss most of the season.
