Sorry Chang, hate to wee on your bonfire but you're wrong, my kids are members. If i don't go to an away game does that mean I have no right to comment on the result? Last time I checked it was s discussion board.

Having read that news yes, I thought it was a good idea, in fact I had an email on the subject from James Elston prior to this and I was considering it, until my husband came home middle of the day yesterday having just been made redundant, hilarious eh? Oh there I go bleating again!

Sorry to hear that. There are a lot of people in the same position. I hope my club take the economic conditions into account when they decide whether they're increasing season pass prices next year

Thanks for that, was already on short time and not entirely out of the blue having come through two rounds of redundancy, it just seems there are people on here who've never had any financial worries and choose to ridicule the situation of others, it's a shame when they support the same side as you.

Yeah, I don't think some fans realise what others give up to watch their team. It's easy to look down on others from your ivory tower. Hope he gets something else quickly

Sorry to hear that Trace, hope he finds something soon, my brothers been out of work for some time now.
As for others peoples financial worries, I would say, with no wish to offend you, but most tend not to post them on a public forum, but that doesn't mean they haven't/ don't have them.

The only reason I have felt the need to post details is the fact that I have had to defend my not joining Club Rovers, a simple I can't afford it or I don't agree with it isn't enough for some people. It's stopped me using the other forum and now it seems those same people are determined to have a go on here. I have never said we are not alone in having job worries, not by a long shot, there thousands in the same position in this area alone. I had hoped that by posting the fact that we would have difficulty paying for and joining the scheme we would be representing the views of many other people who haven't joined either, but that clearly goes over the heads of some people.
I agree with Trace, there must be loads of fans who cannot afford to join the scheme due to the amount of redundancies in our area, my family included. My hubby was made redundant from the caravan industry and this year we didn't even buy season passes, let alone join the new scheme. We have missed only a couple of games this season, Catalans being one due to costs, and Saints due to my sons work commitments. Are we less committed supporters because we don't join the scheme ? definitely not.
Don't think there was any need for the patronising remarks from a fellow supporter.

Stuff them - you don't have to justify yourself to anyone.
