Went to the Swan & Cygnet the other day - 'twas very naice!
What did you have ?
There is an identical Marstons pub in Wath called The Bluebell, same menu as the S & C and nice too but the Junction in Wath does a superb Giant Cod and Chips but its only available until the fresh supplies from Grimsby last.
I have to say I do prefer Haddock to Cod though. What's everyone elses preference ? I'll be having some Haddock tonight.

But not had that in some time, I prefer grilled salmon or salmon cooked in a bag with some white wine and little bit of garlic and ginger .

Carvery - very nice! Tried the Cock & Crown first for the cheap deal - but it was packed, I couldn't even park the car there, so we went to S & C.
The puddings are very nice too - Rhubarb and Raspberry Crumble and Custard!
Haddock!

is that with chips i presume? white wine in a bag? were you sat outside boots? im sure ive given you change at some point!
Bit of tin foil, with a bit of greasproof paper on top. Bang salmon on greasproof, make it into a parcel and put the wine in with bit of garlic and ginger and close top. It's lovely.
And no, with boiled potatoes (the ones i grew myself)

how the hell do you grow pre boiled potatoes?
do you have a very hot garden?
and im letting you get away with banging the salmon on the greaseproof, quite how that enhances the flavour god alone knows!
