I didn't want to say that. Just explaining myself. Not sure why...
Quote:Everton reached a cup final last year and 5th. Man City didnt even get to Europe.
One of the best achievements of any team last year. I don't doubt that.
Doesn’t mean fans had an entertaining time. I cannot believe that Everton fans in any season in the last 10 years had as much entertainment as City fans had when Keegan was boss in Div (i.e. Championship).
Someone said on here I hate 'Everton'. I don't. I dislike United, Spurs and Leeds, and possibly Oldham and Portsmouth.
I do find Everton's football-style boring. I went to watch them play Spurs at White Hart Lane. I was hoping you would win. However, I thought the antics of your players – diving around anywhere within 40 yards of goal – was disgraceful. You were desperate to win free-kicks and from there put high balls into the box. Fair enough if you have a set-piece taker like Arteta and players who are effective in the air. However, in terms of entertainment, it was dire to watch. It wasn’t as bad as watching City under Pearce, but it wasn’t far off. But then Pearce had kids and no money at all. Certainly nowhere near as much as Everton have spent.
Quote:Granted, some very good signings over the summer and you should push for europe at the very least. But there isnt a chance your going to challenge for the title..yet
I doubt I will ever think, "We could win the league”

I just thought it was funny that you got it wrong having refused to speak to somebody about it because they didn't 'know as much about it' as you do.
Anyway, I'm back off to my place in Pedant's Corner.
Bearing in mind, I worked in an area where I needed to be able to use these pieces of legislation to audit the work of an organisation with 11,000 staff.
It is a widely used alternative. It is the first piece of legislation that introduced the concept of race discrimination in this country, hence.....
Ian [77] wrote:there is respect there. For proper United & Liverpool fans, that goes both ways.
Incorrect. I know plenty of United fans. Proper fans. More so than plastic Mancs / Salfordians who live in Cheshire. They don't like Liverpool and Liverpool FC and respect doesn't come into it. Calling your post 'incorrect' is flattering.

I understand that Gerrard's wife and the father of her child are going to appeal over the verdict.

You have been corrected. I did not get it wrong
You crack me up.
You referred to a piece of legislation that didn't exist. I pointed it out. You did get it wrong. You now appear to be arguing that, simply because it came first it's somehow called the Race Discrimination Act.
Your attempts to argue to the contrary do you a disservice.

Have you been reading Striker?
I assume this post is because you are cross because I pointed out that there is no such thing as the Race Discrimination Act? You really are making yourself look rather silly here.
