Sam got what looked liked a nasty head injury playing for the reserves against Widnes tonight ,but still managed to make it ,patched up and bandaged, back onto the field .
Bigger names have spit out the dummy when losing their first team place , but Sam is still there (along with Baz ) slogging it out with the reserves , providing a great professional role model to the younger players around him.
If he fails to regain his first team place , the last reserve fixture is against Hunslet next month, a bumper crowd to give Sam a good send off would be the least we could do for a great example of a rugby league professional.
