Obviously it's not good news (or publicity) for us, but I'm glad to see the RFL being proactive and hope that it will have a positive effect on the progress being made towards our new stadium.

can't say I am surprised at this news.

For a while now I have thought that 2 clubs from Castleford, Wakefield and us are in danger of not getting another licence come decision day for 2012.

Leigh and Widnes have the grounds already and I would imagine that Halifax will have once that stand is completed (if it isn't already)

There is no way, new ground or no new ground that Saints will go out, and ditto Celtic.

Performance on the field I am sure would help any case of staying in, so in the next 2 seasons the Reds had better improve.

Widnes have already ticked one box for getting a licence.

I have no "inside" knowledge of what the situation is regarding the new ground at Barton, but the continued silence from the club suggests it isn't looking good.

Won't shock me at all to be back in NL come 2012.

Can't see the point in belittling your own club on other site's

Soz to sound so down beat but cant really see the point in the officials of the club belittling the fans all the time with all the bull etc and getting stories all the time from 3rd hand sources!!

I think a stadium will be built, it mite not be on time and it wont look like the original design, i personally would be happy with a halliwell jones effort with a lord rodney effort outside and a mcdonalds for the kids.

As long as there is still a salford and we are competative and the people who i watch with still go and its still as fun before and after the match then its worth it, personally its the characters on the terrices that i go for at the moment and the fact its a young team that could go eather way at the moment.

if that dies of i wont be as optimistic about are future
