What would have been the point of working it out over 24 hours if other channels of buying the membership were not open? To shift 1600 in 3 days must surely imply a big take-up online. Oh, and it's "too", not "to".
Ever thought that the gross margin on books is typically 50%+ (this is not made up BTW, I have some experience in this area). So the direct cost of giving away the books could be £5.50 each, as opposed to the full £10 cost needed to subsidise the derby ticket.
Still, with a rate of sale of 533 per day, the existing passholders will all have taken up the option by the weekend. Good work.

its the fact that i follow hull kr for whats on the pitch and always have done. i come on here for a bit of banter, not to be bored half to death with filed accounts and the like. one word describes someone who goes to the lengths she does to prove a point and that is: obsessed!

Your operations manager said a week ago you'd sold 954 passes in the first 14 days, ie 68 per day. As of Saturday people were receiving the book voucher, indicating that the first 2,500 had been sold. So from Wednesday to Friday inclusive you must have sold at least 1,546 in those three days, ie 515 per day, an 8 fold increase in rate of sale. Seems a very impressive surge in sales, that's all.

well if the lazy barstewards got into the shop to purchase the membership, they could of asked like i did how many had been sold, then made a descision to buy or not to buy. the exact figure when i purchased ours last tuesday was.........................

Have Rovers budgeted for a hudgellesque increase in North stand prices for next year? Theirs goes up from £10 to £20 for the derby, ours could be £30 next year - meaning a net cost of an additional £12,500 to Rovers.
To get round this, FC could discount every other teams tickets to £20 next year.
