If Griffin signs he won't be the only new face in the front row.
On Griffin, the bloke is 6ft 5 and nearly 19 stone. He narrowly missed out on the 24 man squad for England last year. Has been inconsistent this year though.

if he comes in along with the other 'rumoured' signing and coley is retained and bailey released then i think that would be an adequate situation to be in

I disagree.
Griffin on top form is one of the best frontrowers in Super League. It appears as if he has not been fully focused on Huddersfield, whether that's because he knows he's off to Wigan in 2010 I don't know. I am aware that we have been in contact with Huddersfield about Griffin but have not heard that he's signed.

Even with his size he has never impressed me. In fact I have never taken much notice of him. Neither have the England selectors really.
If he is signed I will give him a chance and hope that he proves me wrong and puts in top performances every week and bullys opposition packs.

Well we will have to agree to disagree. I certainly can't remember him ever being up to the standard of James Graham, Adrian Morley, Jamie Peacock etc I have never taken notice of Darrell Griffin in super league and when Wigan play Huddersfield the prop forward that stands out for me is Eorl Crabtree not Griffin. My only recollections of him playing is being sin binned a few times.

His stats say he is no better than Prescott

If Griffin is coming to Wigan and there is another forward on his way too then the second bloke has to be quality.
Griffin is Griffin, we've all seen him he's a big man but a quality forward.
As for salaries. Smith has gone and no doubt Hock won't be with us for the next two years so that's a deal of dosh available.
If Bailey is retained then I reckon IL will have offered him a deal that other clubs would offer him. My guess is Bailey would accept it. That could be additional cash available.
With or without Bailey there should be sufficient cash available for quality players.
