Anyone know, without searching, who the current Russian champions are?
They are also leading this season.

I blame the advent of SKY Sports News for the unnecessary attention friendly games are now given, I remember last season some team (can't quite recall who) were "in crisis" because they had lost three friendlies or something, yesterday Liverpool had been dealt a big blow because they lost one in Austria, it's ridiculous and just serves to get todays attention deficient folk all excited.

Friendlies are just purely for fitness the results mean nothing, they're perfect for players like Owen who have arrived at new teams and looking to bed in and prove fitness.

Correct. Not one of your 'usual suspects'.
I've been watching 'Russia Today' on Freeview. Some interesting stuff on there, from a different perespective.

As a side issue, Kazan is also a rugby league hot bed.
