Yeah but I just don't see any incentives. The thing about 'join our membership or you'll pay more for your season pass' is basically blackmail and out of order IMO.

I don't disagree with the scheme in principal, and in future years when it is more geared towards the requirements of the fans, ie a savings scheme for your pass and shirt etc I'm sure it will work well, what I don't agree with is the speed at which is has been introduced. There is no point in me joining because I won't have the money to pay for my season pass before the end of September, so I still wouldn't qualify for the discount. I'm sure we're not alone in this either with the current economic climate.

Unless clubs freeze season passes prices everyone will have to pay more ( unless you have a Ken avey) and HKR did freeze season passes last year.

I have no doubt other clubs will be keeping a close eye on the success or otherwise of this initiative and will probably follow suit. The bottom line is, clubs need to increase revenues especially with the franchise point for £4million+ turnover.

954 announced on Tuesday, 2500 by Friday - 1600 in 3 days - impressive. More than one a minute if the shop's open 9-5, or one every 3 minutes on a 24hour basis.

I think you could be right about the shops opening times ( now there's a first) but perhaps fans have joined via the Craven park office or even via the website, which i'm sure is open 24-7.
Awaiting Mrs B's next calculation with interest....

Which part of "One every 3 minutes on a 24 hour basis" was too complicated for you?"

Why don't you spend more time worrying about your own club?! Don't forget you've got a serious attitude problem which needs addressing asap (according to your coach ).
