Whilst fans abusing players is wrong it is something that will not go away and instead of the numerous posts on here calling these fans and saying the club doesnt need them, maybe people should be asking and especially the club,
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
WHY ARE ATTENDENCES RUBBISH?
WHY ARE FANS FRUSTRATED?
The simple answer is the Untouchables at the club Mr Wilkinson and his cronies have made so many promises and predictions as to our club competing, spending salry caps, moving stadiums, signing big players, moving heaven and earth to keep Myler etc etc etc. That when it doesnt happen and the fans turn up and see the dross that we have seen this season and past seasons they are going to get annoyed.
As to saying fans who call the team are not proper fans. Without these "not proper fans" spending their money, where will the club be because all i ever hear from the club on here is the club crying poverty. Whether you think they are proper fans or not you need them to keep turning up and keeping this club going.
I dont hurl abuse or throw beer, because i think its wrong. But i also think that to blindly live and not question what its obviously wrong, like so many posts on here is short sited. As to BBM feeling sorry for Wilkinson and Clegg, they are quick to salute the shed and take the plaudits when the team has won, so what does that say the palyers win with Wilky but lose on their own?
I am sick and tired of the lack of ambition at the club and hearing the same rubbish coming out. As to sacking McCrae what will that achieve? in the twenty five years of watching the club i have seen numerous coaches come and go, no success, no glimpses of success, maybe you should be looking elsewhere to blame.
Yes i am vexed off and i am sure i will get people having a go back well bring it and lets sort this club out.
I call them when they deserve it,
I praise them when they deserve it.
I support the club not individuals.
No one is bigger than Salford

I always stand in the shed, and on friday night I was ashamed, the fat w a n k e r, with the walking stick always shouts abuse at players, and theres a few at the bottom of the shed who r always shouting abuse, people just stand about talking rather than watch the game and this is what annoys me.
Saying that tho when we played well against saints the fans got behind them, sio its abit of give n take really. I just kept quiet when Myler came off coz I couldnt really boo or clap him, coz I think hes startin 2 do a coley n lack commitment, although i think a half botherd myler is still beta than smith.
One last thing Leuleui came off the pitch after a brilliant 20 mins and them pr i cks at the bottom of the shed were still hurling abuse at him.

Hi Shirley, whilst I agree with most of you're post regards to the abuse, and for mine the treatment of Myler was way out of order. He's a young kid for Christ sake, those fans should get a grip, morons! I hope he does sign for Warrington and rips us to shreds next year because of those idiots
Anyway back to the quote - Who cares less whether John & Howard walk across the pitch? Its cringe worthy, 9 times out of 10 they only do it when we win, the other occasions, when we lose, they don't come across and we assume they use a secret tunnel to get out of the stadium Wilky only does it for his brief spot of adulation, always has. I don't recall any other chairman doing it at any other club. Believe you me, its more embarrassing than him taking abuse, if he doesn't like it he should stop coming over when we win too.
this will not be the end, or even the beginning of the end.
It is merely the end of the beginning
The abuse players received was diiabolical. How can we expect the likes of Myler to stay when he is abused like that. Ok he had a bad game but didnt deeserve that sort of treatment and by the way HE HASNT SIGNED FOR WIRE , so until it is officially announced he is one of our own and we shoud stick by him. Also I may lose credibilty here but I dont think Smith is as bad as everybody makin out. Actually think he is trying too hard

Alan also thinks the same, Smith has been an international & you dont get picked to play for your country if you are crap, ok he is having a bad time for whatever reason, could name plenty who came with big wraps & are only just settling(King, Monaghan, Richards) all have taken time to settle in. Maybe he needs a spell on the bench, possibly drop Robbie as he is going anyway, play Stef with Richie & bring Smith on as interchange for Malc, Jeremy said at F/Rs that he enjoys playing hooker when he has covered that spot. But as you say R.J. he is trying too hard at the moment.
[quote="Chris Charles No1 Fan"]Well said P.R. like you said many just wanted to get p$$sed, do they go to away games? do they really support club or are they just on free tickets. We dont need there support nor do the club[/quote
i know this is totally off your subject but just in reference to your free ticket quote, just how many does your club give out as we parked in a car park next to a church come pub on friday night and we had no fewer than 10 salford fans come trying to sell us tickets for the game and these guys had some real wads of these tickets, we would have bought some from them as they were only £10.00 but we had pre booked them so as you would imagine we were well pi$$ed, but to get back to my point if you cut the free tickets out you might get rid of some of the nobbs that were stading in your side stand.

Fans get frustrated and feel the need to vent. I don't have a problem with fans telling the players to give supportive abuse
As someone stood behind me said we have a number of "mongs" why they throw beer at McGillivary a player trying very hard and at that point the only try scoreer I'll never know.
The rugby on display both both teams was of a low standard, the game seemed to go on forever. My husband who was unable to go to the game phoned me I told him that the less crap team would win.
As for Myler, yes he maybe 19 but this situation is of his own making, contrast his situation to Adamson who conducted his contract talks in private. Offiah is both their agents. This is another Coley/Robbo.
Fans should get behind the team but the brand of play makes it difficult. Ban anyone who throws such on the pitch. At the Catalan game last night someone threw a shoe at Ganson (understandable) the crowd all pointed him out and he was ejected. This is what should happen at Salford, not protection.

I can't see that happening, it's a societal difference.

I'm more interested to know if he got his shoe back, or he got thrown out and had to go home with one shoe on or indeed he took a spare shoe to the game in anticipation? Can anyone confirm?
