Seems both sets of American owners are prudent to say the least this summer, can't see any big arrivals unless Alonso leaves.

I'd be gutted because he's a class player and I'd rather you kept on signing players like Owen instead of Villa, but in terms of us not getting him, I'm not bothered, he was way out of our price range.

Yeah definitely, but you continously have digs at the signing which could prove to come back and bite you, if Owen stays healthy which he has done quite well the past 2 seasons he'll score goals 10 and 14 the past 2 seasons despite his problems.

Continuously? I thought he was a pretty poor signing by your own standards, since you've signed him I've not said much since. I wasn't having a dig, I was just saying I'd rather you sign players in Owen's caliber than Villa's. I'm sure most non-Man Utd fans would agree.
