Quite right, the sooner we get rid of the lazy waste of talent the better.

Like an sane Liverpool fan I want to keep Xabi, but if he wants to leave and we can sign Silva plus a replacement for Alonso then that will help to soften the blow and even turn us into title favourites.

Obviously you have amazing telepathy talents. Perhaps you should offer these skills to the police or the security forces or some other 'good cause'?

Aah right so city fans have never slagged Utd for being a global brand? There is more to life than this forum you know.

As long as this is all city have got to brag about Utd fans will be quite happy. When you can start discussing trophies etc it will be a different story.

An away line up of Given, Richards, Kompany or Terry, Onuha or Lescott, Bridge, De Jong, Ireland, Barry, Tevez, Santa Cruz, Bellamy or Zabaleta should be capable of looking after itself and picking up a few points.

I'm expecting a lot from De Jong. He joined City after a 3 month injury lay off and not surprisingly took his time to adjust to the faster pace of the Premiership. A good pre season and he should make his presence felt.

Arrived as a striker and has barely been given a chance to develop as a left winger. He showed against Madrid how good he can be. I'd perservere with him, I think he could be a really good player.

Never really arrived as an out and out striker like Torres. Came as a left forward, played wide left in a 4-3-3, even when he has played up front, the only time he's shown promise was against Marseille.

Last season, Madrid and Marseille were arguably his best games, other than that he done almost nothing.
