The people in question are disgusting in their continued attacks on certain players and officials and show a complete lack of any decency or common sense.
Are they genuine supporters? NO
Do they really support the club? NO
Are they on free tickets? Quite possibly.
Do they go to away games? Unfortunately some do usually drunk.
Do we need their support? NO
As has been stated previously everyone is entitled to their opinion but this does not entitle them to physically abuse or assault players or officials and this is what a small minority of people are doing.
These people would not/could not face players/officials in a meeting with other people present as some did last Monday they are just out and out dead legs who do not deserve to be associated with the club.
Last nights match was another that we could/should have won, the coach made a mistake (in my opinion)with his selection and he should and has taken responsibility for it it is just a pity that these morons will not accept responsibility for their own stupid actions/comments etc.

I think there's a clear distinction to be made between the complete bellends we all know who are currently following the club and other, genuine supporters who will vent every now and then. I'm not condoning the pint throwing, nor am I condoning anything out and out vile and personal, but people will get frustrated and every now and then people will say something. Jesus, when Cas got that scrum last night (right in front of where we were stood) I gave the officials a bit of a verbal, erm, 'bashing' shall we say. As long as it doesn't boil over then there's nothing wrong with making your feelings known to players/officials. You'd be happy to praise them with just as much gusto if things went well.
As I've said, I'm not condoning the behaviour of what is, in reality, a small section of our support. But don't use it as a reason to decry everyone who makes their feelings known.

Just can not believe people throwing beer when its £2.50 a pint.
Watched the game from the club and all i can say the type of rugby we are playing is driving people away, I know it was poor conditions last night but it was the same for both teams, we did not cope for some reason. Well Warrington next week, where the only thing that is certain some cretin in the crowd will have a DRUM.

Cheers Brian, you know what i mean. your good self with your daughter and Aussie son in law and grandkids know what i mean. you live and breath salford rugby. Please all fans lets relive the salfore spirit of old and support our great club.
I must admit that watching any team (any sport for that matter) can be very frustrating at times (just try following Stockport County week in and week out).
The times I've said "I'm not going to pay to watch that cr@p again!
It's natural to be disappointed when things go wrong.
I really believe that all the "hype" in the press and in RL/SL about young Myler has had a very unsettling effect on the team and throughout our club.
You only have to read some of the comments from our own fans on this very forum to realise that the "who needs Myler anyway" brigade are very bitter.
I suppose we are victims of our own success when it comes to bringing on great youngsters: and let's not forget that the progression of youth was part of the criteria for the franchise.
I like to think of Reds supporters being different from a lot of other supporters in loyalty when ex Reds players retun to The Willows, but some are being less than gracious when it comes to a fantastic young player that has yet to go anywhere.
I really believe that this is the first time in a very long time that SCR has been in this position. The only other time that we have lost "big name players" is when we have been relegated. It's totally different scenario.
It has NEVER been any different when it comes to the so called big clubs pitching in for youngsters with (apparent) talent.
I believe that we have to get into the whole mind set that SL requires and it's great for once not having to look down the barrel and try to avoid relegation
If he goes to Wire, ok - all the best RM, and if he stays ,it just leaves us with a fantastic "problem"
Who would be a coach?
Does anyone know the name of that touch judge who looks like ginger chuckle brother and is never off the TV ? Better still if anyone could send me an image. I'm working on an idea.

I agree that constant abuse of players is wrong and we need to stay behind them, but 20k to 100k a year for what 10 mins of abuse by a small minority once a week ....im in the wrong job
and btw, I fully agree with you as well as Red Preacher, the behaviour of some people who attend games is nothing short of diabolical. Sadly, it's just a sign of the times and an indication of the total lack of respect for others in today's society as a whole.
Bl00dy hell a comment on the state of the country as well as fans in the stands, I couldn’t agree with you more!
Anyway I’m always wetting myself when I hear City fans calling for the managers head and saying how poop all their players are etc. every time they lose a game, and how at the start of every season they are going to win the league. Does this sound familiar to anyone in the shed? All the people who stood shouting abuse on Friday night think back to the last times you watched a game when you dint shout abuse at your own players. Saints at home? You went the whole game without slagging a Salford player off? I don’t think so. Sack everyone players, staff, coach and owner. What will you have to complain about then? I’m sure you’ll have lots, probably why did we sack players, staff, coach and owner!
