Very sad news indeed but isnt Harry Patch still with us. The older i have got the more important the sacrifices made by those much braver than me have resonated in my mind. God bless you Henry may you rest in peace.

It's difficult to quantify just how much their sacrifice has given birth to the comparitive "easy" lives we live.

Well said shirl. we might slag our players and coach off. but jesus christ the team that need our support is our troops. god bless them and their safe journey home. there is a lad who goes in walkden cricket club called Billy, whoes brother has served for his country, who cylcled last week from Manchester to Blackpool and his charity was Help the Heroes. You mate are a Hero Well done

RIP Henry you desevre a well earned rest
I thank you for what you did along with my Grandad who did the whole 4 years of horror and my great Grandad who perished in 1917 to give me and others the freedoms we have today.
