Well its Saturday night and I am stuck in at home and being slightly boring teaching maths and all that I thought I would do a lesson about the different forms of average there are and decided to use Salford as an example, yawn yawn
pay attention at the back
I have not included the shindig in Edinburgh
Number of home Matches =9
Total official attendance = 41,123
Mean Average 41123/9 = 4569
Median Average = middle figure when in size order = 4165 against Hull

Money through the gate if we assume average cost of £13.50 per person to get in. Total 41123 x £13.50 = £555160.50
match day average 4569 x £13.50 = £61681.5
which is not a lot to run a team on. t
Good job you get the 1.2 mil from SKY eh

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
I think you would get more through the gate on a sunday alot of fans finnish work late on a friday and cant make the games plus transport to the stadium bus wise is so poor its unbeleivebly poor. Which does not help bring back sunday rugby for me and i think gates will increase.

The Bus is worse on a sunday but the two routes from Eccles means that there are about 5 bus routes which run near the ground which is better than the 1 route from Salford to Old Trafford.
Second lowest crowd of the season last night 80 more than the Harlequins match.

Err Bigpev, I was at the chalk face for 27 years and never taught Maths on a Saturday.
For critics, I did teach some Maths towards the end and a lot of stats throughout.

who can honestly blame people for not turning up with a clueless coach and a team full of grade e aussie imports playing boring lack lusture rugby!fair enough i dont think we can honestly moan about our first season back in super league,as barr from the first 6 disaster matches at the start of the season we have actualy competed in most games and going into the last ten mins we cud have still turned many games,we havent been hammered score wise but the type of rugby played this season has been far from entertaining!!standing in the shed most games and looking around u see folk drifting off from the game talking bout how they had a lovely day out walking the dogs, moaning bout there other half and where there going after the game!!
cum on slug listen to what the fans are saying as you do have decent players available to you, just playing the right team, positions and tactics is all thats required!!
keep the faith

what is the problem the club play on friday, this has nothing to do with the fans, but the backers who are putting money in the club, now there might not be doing that now,but we have had this in the past, fans come after the men with money and sky and anyone else.
Would be interesting if anyone did a comparison between our Friday night Attendances and the last time we played Superleague Sunday afternoons.
Friday Nights, imo, was a bad idea from the start. Less away fans (Especially Yorkshire based) due to traffic/work problems. People not wanting to wonder around Weaste after dark on a Friday. Families that need to have kids in bed. Etc etc.
The original reasoning was said to give the team a training advantage, which of course has been a resounding success looking at all our home victories...
